The Content Marketing Awards

ABOUT

The Content Marketing Awards are presented and owned by the Content Marketing Institute, a UBM company, to recognize and award the best content marketing projects, agencies and marketers in the industry each year. The 2019 Content Marketing Awards include 85 categories recognizing all aspects of content marketing, from strategy to distribution, from design to editorial. The Content Marketing Awards is the largest international content marketing awards program.

 

HISTORY

The CMAs were launched in 2004 as the Magnum Opus Awards. The program was conducted jointly, by the Content Marketing Institute and McMurry/TMG from 2011-2014. In 2013, the awards program was renamed and rebranded to match the changing industry, presented by the Content Marketing Institute and sponsored by McMurry/TMG.  In December 2014, Content Marketing Institute announced their acquisition of the Content Marketing Awards and beginning in 2015, CMI began producing the prestigious awards program.

 

ELIGIBILITY

The awards program is open to all agencies, companies, organizations and institutions involved in producing content marketing, in print or digital form, for internal or external audiences—but not those created by Content Marketing Institute or any Content Marketing Awards sponsors. Entries may originate from any country.

Entries must have been created in calendar year 2018 to qualify for the 2019 awards. If entries were created in 2018 but not “published” or distributed until 2019, they still qualify.

The Content Marketing Project, Branded Content Campaign, Agency, and Content Marketer of the Year will all be announced at a live awards ceremony at Content Marketing World in Cleveland on September 4, 2019. Join us!

 

AGENCY OF THE YEAR (less than 100 employees)

Presented to the agency, with less than 100 employees, that has distinguished itself by creating content marketing that serves as a showcase for the entire industry, announced at Content Marketing World 2019. The Agency of the Year recognition by the Content Marketing Institute is, perhaps, the greatest award honor a content marketing agency can achieve. The judges look at the agency’s projects and performance over the past year, as well as the innovation behind consistent multi-platform publishing. To qualify for Agency of the Year, you must submit at least one project submission and complete the agency nomination information on the entry form. Here are the finalists for the 2018 Agency of the Year (Less than 100 Employees) presented at Content Marketing World 2018. There is a $249 fee to nominate your agency. If submitted after April 26, 2019, nominations will require the late fee of $299.

 

AGENCY OF THE YEAR (100+ employees)

Presented to the agency, with more than 100 employees, that has distinguished itself by creating content marketing that serves as a showcase for the entire industry, announced at Content Marketing World 2019. CONTENT MARKETING PROJECT OF THE YEAR

All entries will be eligible for the 2019 Content Marketing Awards Project of the Year – the overall best project from thousands of submissions. The Content Marketing Project of the Year award is like winning the Oscar for Best Picture – it simply cannot get any better. The CMAwards judges look at the finalists in every one of the 85 categories to decide which content marketing project was the “best of the best”. BRANDED CONTENT CAMPAIGN OF THE YEAR

All Branded Content Campaign entries submitted to strategy categories 26 & 27 will be eligible for the 2019 Branded Content Campaign of the Year. The Branded Content Campaign of the Year award is like winning the Oscar for Best Picture – it simply cannot get any better. The Content Marketing Awards’ judges look at the finalists in the Branded Content categories to decide which branded content campaign was the “best of the best”. The Branded Content Campaign of the Year will be announced at a live awards presentation at Content Marketing World on September 4, 2019 in Cleveland, OH.

 

CONTENT MARKETER OF THE YEAR

The Content Marketing Awards – Marketer of the Year is a special recognition from the Content Marketing Institute. Each year, CMI looks at the great work brand marketers are doing in content marketing. We then compile a shortlist of the “best of the best” and choose a winner that stood above the rest in content marketing during those 12 months.
