Patricia Anderson has been working in the field of Content Marketing for over ten years in a wide array of industries, including in-house copywriting for a children’s clothing brand, mastering the SEO aspects of Content Marketing at a B2B agency, and currently serving as the Content Marketing Manager for Virginia is for Lovers, the state tourism brand for Virginia.


Christopher Barger is the Senior Director of Communications at SME, a nonprofit association advocating for the manufacturing industry, and has more than 20 years’ experience working for or servicing some of the world’s biggest companies. He has built and led digital programs at IBM and General Motors, and advised many others on their digital and communications activities and implementing disruptive new technologies and strategies. He is a recognized leader in content marketing, protecting brand reputation and mitigating crisis, communications strategy, influencer relations, and executive positioning. He has worked with PlayStation, the World Health Organization, the Almond Board of California, McDonald’s, Walmart, and GE Digital among others. He is the author of the Amazon marketing best-seller “The Social Media Strategist” (McGraw-Hill, 2012).


Jackie Bebenroth believes in the power of the pen. As a brand advisor and content strategist, Jackie helps clients find their brand voice…and shout it from the rooftops with clarity and purpose. Ruth Carter has no idea why CMI asked them to be a judge, probably because they were not born with the diplomacy gene, and they aren’t afraid to be bluntly honest when asked for their opinion. As the Evil Genius at Geek Law Firm, they’ve been solely responsible for the company’s content marketing since 2012, learning as they went along, and has been helping the CMWorld family stay out of legal trouble since 2015. They also wrote the book, The Legal Side of Blogging: How Not to get Sued, Fired, Arrested, or Killed.


Tina Cervera An agency veteran, Tina formulates, inspires, leads and executes on brand strategies and creative storytelling for businesses of all sizes. Jonathan Crossfield describes himself as a storyteller because freelance writer, editor, content strategist, digital marketer, journalist, copywriter, consultant, trainer, speaker and blogger wouldn’t fit neatly on a business card. His regular column for CCO magazine, published by the Content Marketing Institute, would be described more accurately as a series of angry rants and personal soapboxes fuelled by too much caffeine.
